Professional Development

To stay innovative and engaging, we all need to embrace lifelong learning. Classroom instructors must continually learn and practice research-driven pedagogical strategies to meet the needs of new generations. Similarly, education and organization leaders must be iterative in their approaches, finding new ways to motivate their workforce and create inclusive, engaging, and supportive environments.

How EPIC can help:

  • Determine and implement various professional development opportunities in different modalities: online, in-person, blended, hybrid.
  • Design and facilitate workshops that focus on your specific goals. These can range from 1 hour to multi-day programs.
  • Assess your needs with you. We will help you figure out what approaches will drive more innovation, whether it is in the classroom, in the committee, or at the leadership table.

Community & Professional Culture Building

Feelings matter. Feelings drive change, spark innovation, and create action. We all need to consistently work to create community-centric partnerships across departments, schools, and organizations. We need to break silos by fostering collaboration and empathy, which entails strategy and intentionality.

How EPIC can help:

  • Empower the community with a renewed sense of purpose and authentic connections through a series of workshops.
  • Build a community-centric action plan that identifies key stakeholders.

eLearning Design

We know from learning science that simply replicating in-person instruction or training into an online platform doesn’t work. Learning online takes a different set of skills–both for the learner and for the designer. You may ask yourself, how do we ensure our online programs/trainings are engaging, community centric, and effective learning experiences?

How EPIC can help:

  • Suggest creative approaches to learning online through AI, play-based learning, design models, and active learning strategies.
  • Design a cutting-edge, learner-centered online program.
  • Provide recommendations for research-based structures and edtech tools.

I have seen Liz artfully facilitate student programming and faculty professional development – with audiences of diverse experience, perspectives and personalities – where participants leave with learning that felt personally impactful.
